'59 Olds Diff Questions

Hello all, this is my first post here and you seem like a very knowledgeable bunch. I'm in need of some info on the '59 Olds posi centersection. First, which would answer most of my questions is, does anyone have an exploded view of this center section and also, I could really use some instructions for rebuilding it properly. Parts for these old girls are getting hard to come by so I'd like to do it right the first time around. I just had my housing narrowed and big Ford housing ends installed. I'm in the process of ordering axles and need to go through the center section as well. If you need any pics or numbers to help ID what I have, just let me know, I can probably arrange that too.

Not that it matters, but this diff will be going in my '57 Chevy 210 model sedan.

Thank you,
Mike

I hate to give you the obvious answer but a '59 SERVICE MANUAL might help. My service manual has many pictures as well as specifications to rebuild a posi and non - posi center section. To answer your second question, parts for these rears are EXTREMELY easy to find - your just looking in the wrong place - ( '57 - 64 Olds / Pontiac full size is basically the same thing ) try Fabcraft metal works either directly through them or by Ebay. I have ordered a posi rebuild kit from them and their kits include EVERYTHING you need. They even have NEW gears they sell in wild ratios - 4.10 4.30 and 4.56. If you want to retire early, sell your posi unit on Ebay - they are getting crazy prices just for the posi center section

Thanks 59, I checked out fabcraft, and they've got exactly the goodies I need. I'll be placing an order with them on Monday. I should've thought about the service manual, wasn't thinking, I suppose.

Thanks!
