The good,The Bad and The ugly......7 years on a BBO

Went to the track for the first time this year for some T&T.......Same short block that has been in the car for 7 years 8 next April......all of my best passes on this motor that was thrown toghter for a mondello race in 2001.
Long story short,I put the ported Victor intake on to see what it would do with my proven combo,Seemed to pull real good on the street...
Pass #1
1.88 60ft
12.35@112
Figured the intake slowed me down.......
Open up the NOS jetted for a 100HP shot
Pass #2
1.58 60ft
11.53@115
WTH this intake suxs!
Decided to spray it first round of the trophy race......
Dailed 11.51
Ran it out with 2 blips/cut outs on the top end,I knew when I heard those slight hiccups in the ole girl she had problems.......Oil pressure has always been low and further review looks like its holding inbetween 4-10 pounds hot in gear but wont climb past 20psi on a slight rev.......She's starting to spin a rod I'am guessing,A total teardown will commence come next spring......Time to start saving some $$$$$$$$ for the new short blocks heads and have that ready to come spring also........Bummer but at least I caught it before it broke some parts! 6 months short of 8 years on this BBO......Not sure how many miles and passes but its a pretty good amount for bothI would guess 10,000 street driven miles and around 400-500 passes.............Jerr
Heres a few pics.....Nothing spectacular for sure,Promised my grandaughter a ride,Oil pressure or not she was getting one!

very nice! That means it was built right... Was that a good rebuild with forged Speed Pro's?
