Thumbs up Hello from Mount Orab, Ohio

Hi, everybody!! I am new here and I hope that this is the right way to start off!! Anyway...I am the proud owner of a 1971 Olds Cutlass "S"....I really enjoy driving and tinkering with this car...I have had it for about 6 months now and I have a lot of questions about this car, which I will search the forums for answers later...but for now i would like to know about the different designations for the body styles, such as W-30, F-85 etc. what does all of that mean? Also I am looking for a site where I can enter my VIN and get some facts about my Cutlass, that will not cost me another arm and a leg just to find out that they do not support my 13 digit VIN!!! Thanks Guys and Gals!!

Welcome to CO. If you post your VIN someone will help you decode it here. We have a pretty good FAQ and Tech section that should help you with some of your questions as well. W-30 was an option package for the Cutlass line that had the 455 engine, and F-85 is a model number designation that later became the Cutlass.

Flying Monkeys vs. Bigfoots, that would be cool!!!
Maybe they could have the battle on top of on one of those supposedly "dormant" volcanoes like Mt. St. Helens that are all over the place out there.

We squeeze more fun into less days and go for all the gusto we can get.

Well, I'm the technologically challenged one of the bunch here! I don't understand your phone thing, but I'm sure someone else does! When you sign in, you can go to the top of the page and click on "new posts" and you'll see if someone has responded, or go in to "forums" and look for your thread and click on it.
Refresh your screen once in a while!! When you're typing in this "quick reply" box, sometimes it will time you out, and you'll lose what you typed when you go to post it. Hi-light it and copy, refresh, then paste it back in the box and post.
These guys will teach you all that too! It took me a while to get the hang of it, now they're scared of me!!! But I love them anyhow!! Post back when you get this and tell us how you knew you had a response.

You can also click on the USER CP at the top where FORUM is and there down the left side you can see options like having responses sent to your email. That is what I do

X2 on what he said

You can also hit "quick links" at the top left on the grey bar and the drop down will allow you to hit "subscribed threads"

So when you go from your e-mail [phone] and it takes you to CO rather than go back and forth from your phone[e-mail you can get the same info at "subscribed threads" that you're getting e-mail notifications of.

But don't tell cutlasgal
