1950 76 dressed up like an 88. Sitting in the Capital Square in Madison, WI. Updates to this vehicle include 12v conversion, 6 cyl to 8 cyl (303 cid) conversion--including '54 324 heads and intake with a later Rochester 4v carb, all 88 brightwork, and currently receiving dual exhaust, front disc brakes, dual reservoir master cyl, rear shocks/air bags. Still needs interior work, sound system, weather strip around doors and trunk. I will drive this to Post Falls, ID this June for the NAOC meet

just got another cutlass
So I wanted a parts car for my 78 cutlass stock 5 speed. Drove almost two hours to see a1980 stock automatic. My wife has been Battling Cancer for the past six years and hasn't been able to ride for long periods of time. Having said that she wanted to ride with me. I told her don't talk or say anything so that i can talk the owner down. There is no way I am going to buy this car if it hasn't got everything i need. Turns out one owner. Mint mint bumpers! Fair interior Crap door rubber. trunk looked like it just came of the showroom floor.Complete Replaced NOS front clip. Nice factory paint . Bad news REAR FRAME past the axle....gone both sides. SO i am kicking the tires grumbling about this and that. Trying to lower the price. Working him down to 1500. Just about there and He starts the car. My wife gets out of our car and yells Your not going to scavenge this car for parts. This is going to be MY CAR. The guy laughs and says You can have it for 1650. Its in our drive way and and the
drivers side rear bumper mount totally exposed.
paper thin...whats left.

Thanks, Dream, this is my 4th '67 I have owned over the past 50 years or so..in fact my first was a brand new '67 442 off the showroom floor!! Wish I still had it, but it went the way of a lot a nice muscle cars in the mid 70's gas crisis.

Wow, 4 '67's! There's a few pics of mine if you scroll up to 8/9/2020 on this thread.

All original. One partial respray. Im trying to figure out if it's 9,000 miles or 109,000 miles. Shock absorbers say "Sears" makes me think its 109.. its had a muffler. To me it looks like a car that has about 40,000 miles... the granny green interior shows no wear.

most recently drove this car in an auto cross course and killed it! That means, I did really well :-)

The only reason I'm offering up this image is because your picture reminded me of the old-style early air conditioners. You don't see them very often. I think they were pretty radical for their time. I happened to venture across this one at the Iola Car Show in 2012.

I put Moderately Modified but it may be more than moderate,
Original Jetaway 2 Speed Transmission replaced with 3 Speed
Single exhaust converted to dual exhaust
Howell Throttle Body Injection system replaces 4 bbl Carburetor (Love it)
HEI Distributor replaces stock
160 Amp. Alternator replaces stock
Front brakes converted to disc
New Fan & Fan clutch added
After market AC added
'67 Olds rims replace original hubcaps
I don't know, moderately for heavily modified

That Calais Supreme brings back fond memories. I had an almost identical '86 model except it was dark blue and had its original 13-inch alloy wheels. It was actually a fun little car, despite its anemic little Tech4 engine.

Slightly modified
I would describe my 66 as slightly modified.
I replaced the transmission with a four-speed automatic, I am running aluminum heads with full roller rockers, Edelbrock performer intake with a Holley Street avenger carburetor. I installed four wheel disc brakes, Thorton muscle car headers and full exhaust with X pipe and black widow mufflers.
