70 olds W-30 suspension question

Hello to all,
car has bad wheel hop,
currently car is on the stands, changed front/rear springs and shocks,
installed new rear boxed arms, my question is should i tighten the bolts on arms while car is off the ground or full weight on the ground..
any help would be appreciated..

Install some really good shocks for the wheel hop problem. I have Konis and 245 Radial T/As.

Keep posted if that fixes your problem, I have the same problem, replaced with good shocks still hops like a rabbit..I did not loosen control arms and retighten on the ground..curious if that fixes your problem.

Agreed I would like to hear the solution. Can't say that I ever had a wheel hop problem. Ever. Curious what would cause that.

For what it's worth, this article points to worn out control arm bushings...

I have seen Oldsmobile with wheel hop come from cars that were jacked up in the rear with "air shocks". I've never owned an Oldsmobile that had wheel hop.

STATUS to bad wheel hop, all boxed lower new control arms have new bushings also changed upper arm with new bushings, tightened arms with car on ground, still hops like a rabbit..maybe different better shocks, even though they are new KYB

If you are OK with aftermarket I would go to coil-overs. You can get single adjustable (rebound) or double adjustable (rebound and compression). That way you can dial in to your needs. Just a thought

Looked up wheel hop on YouTube, in this video's comments section the chevelle owner replied a fix. He installed the UMI parts & fixed the problem. I've also heard adjustable upper control arms can be used to tune out wheel hop.
