Demolition Man - 1970 Olds 442 red w/ black stripes
Just wanted to let you guys know the 1970 Olds 442 red w/ black stripes in the movie Demolition Man with Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes & Sandra Bullock kicked butt. Movie not so hot, but the car needs to be in more movies.

that car was 3 cars only one that was saved. all were cutlasses with 350 Chevy engines. one was restored and i think is now yellow. i can't confirm this but i would have to do some digging. i think i have some pictures of it at the 100th OCA nationals in Lansing. it was still red there.

I kind of liked the flick. The movie is loosely based from Aldous Huxley's book, 'A Brave New World'. Sandra Bullocks character's name is even Huxley.
Now, how do those three sea shells work anyways?

Ha ha ha he doesn't know how to use the three seashells. That was a funny line from the movie but my favorite line was in the car chase with the 442. "Punch it Huxley!!"
Didn't know it had a Chevy engine in it but it sure sounded good.

Most everything you hear in a movie is added except maybe dialog. The technician who adds doors slamming and thunder and rain etc. is the Foley Artist.
Ever notice how most motorcycles in the movies and TV sound like Harleys? I read the most popular exhaust sound for American cars is a recording of a
392 Hemi powered Chrysler 300. It must have had exactly the right cam. compression and mufflers.
There was a red '70 W30 for sale on ebay a few months ago and the owner/seller added a video. It sounded fantastic, he had glasspacks. I don't know if I could live with that but it sounded really good driving away.
