GM Heritage Center? Anyone buy info from them?

Hi Guys,

In another post Diego mentioned the GM Heritage Center. I checked out the website and see they offer Vintage Vehicle Info for $50. Has anyone bought this info for their Olds? What did you get and was it worth $50????

thanks,
bob

You will get general info on your car. Nothing about your particular car. Quite frankly, I can tell you more about your car than they will.

Ditto.
They got me, too.

Package came with my car from the previous owner. As others have said tons of general info (mostly weights, measurements, capacities, etc.). Also they included a Black and White GM press photo which is really nice, Except. The photo they sent is of a '72 not a '71. You'd think they would know the difference.

I have used there services 2 times. As stated above it is kinda generic information and they send you a nice letter on the Gm letterhead. I used it to see if my car was recognized as a 73 Hurst/Olds by GM on the first one and add documentation to the second car. I see they now are double what I paid for mine......
I display it with my car memorabilia..... Worth the $ to me.....

They are historians first, car people second. The guy Kurt and I met was a great guy to deal with, though, so I feel obligated to cut them some slack.

I haven't used them myself, but for the early 70s cars and earlier, they can only give you generic information as mentioned by others. For the at least early 80s cars (I don't know where the dividing line is), they can provide the invoice for your specific car/VIN....
