please help-were any 1972 442's produced in Arlinton Tx-code R

I am wanting to buy my first 442 and according to its VIN 3G87U2R135722 it was made in Arlington Tx. I read that in 1972 that some plants like KC didn't produce the 442 option cars. Does anyone know if 442s were produced in Arlington Tx in 1972? Also can someone please let me know how I can tell if the car originaly came with a/c. If it did it has been removed. I would really appreciate anyones help!! Thank You!!!

In 1972, 442 was a trim code. It could be made at any plant. No way to tell from the VIN whether it is real.

If the "suitcase" on the passenger side firewall darned near rubs the valve cover, then it had A/C and has been removed. The control panel is another good clue...they are a b!tch to change.
