1970 Cutlass S

I was recently able to purchase a 1970 Cutlass S and am looking to do some work on it. First and foremost though it needs new tires. The ones it currently has on it are 215 75R14, however I cannot find those anywhere when I do a search for tires. Does anyone have a reputable spot where they would recommend to get tires that will work on this vehicle?

Thanks,
Josh

I saw them on Amazon , bf Goodrich has white letter tires in 70 series which will be slightly shorter ( less diameter) I’m sure the specialty tire companies make them but 14s are going the way of incandescent lamps lol harder to find choices

Amazon is great to deal with for new tires. Went that way with the 69. Great price and quick delivery. But you have to do your homework when placing the order. (review specifics)

And after doing a quick Google search.

$106 per tire.

Just curious

Are you set on that exact size? In a 70 series there are more choices etc , radials I do not believe we’re original equipment? So someone selected that size as a replacement

Look for a 225/70 14 replacement. Close to original size

215/75-14 tires are 26.70" in diameter
225/70-14 tires are 26.40" in diameter.

You won't notice a difference.

I've been looking at options to replace the tires on my 1971 Cutlass. The only non-repro, brand name whitewall that I have found online was Uniroyal Tiger Paw AWPII. I haven't check availability with my dealer yet.
If you want a blackwall or white letters, there are a few (but not many) other options.

In moving some words around in the sentence, I ended up leaving out "American" brand.
That would be like putting Toyota branded tires on.
(Yeah, it would depend on where the tires are all really made, but still...)
