70 455 Cutlass Supreme !FINSIHED!

Who are you foolin'? You know they are never finished. You will always find dirt somewhere...
You need to trim those floor mats to fit, and at least color in an Oldsmobile logo...
But it looks great! Go out and enjoy!!

The console and headrests are original color- was not to sure whether to leave them the white or not .The car had the color comp ex package on it originally which as far as I can figure, included the white interior accents- arm rests, rear view mirror support, headrests, and backseat panels were all white, while the rest was gold-I do not mind the look, and I have kept some of the cars' originality

I knew i should have not said thatThe better the car gets the more dirt i find But she is road worthy and, like Dent said, just in time for summer in the rust belt

wow !
Finally got my 455 out on the road today for my first tour! What a rush! do not think i have ever experienced that kind of power before . Thanks to the forum in helping out with the resto
The ultimate compliment came from a group of 20 or so kids hanging out at a small town"s 4 corners, who all stopped to look at the car: "Now thats a car... nice car mister" one yells out. I left them a tiny bit of rubber as a thank-you and drove away.
I cannot believe that these types of cars were available to the public I wonder how many accidents happened shortly after the new owners picked them up at the dealerships?

under the 455.few pics
Just thought i would post few pics of under my 70 Cutlass with what i think is a 455 out of a 69 Delta.
What you see is how the undercarriage looked like when it was pulled out of a barn in 2009. I painted over the yellow with the black, and replaced the MT"s with the original covers, but other than that I have done nothing to the motor ,frame or running gear.
Any comments would be great
Ted.

Ted, I am sooo jealous. You have a lift and a 15' ceiling! The things I could do with that. I'm waiting to hear how the engine performs.
BTW, I was a little surprised with that white console. I've seen white interiors but they always were with a black console. You sure that it wasn't painted at some point? Usually the console matched the color of the dash IIRC

Allan,
Contenta converter is the name of the software that my wife used to reduce the size of the pics so we could post them on CO.
Thanks for the compliments on the car! I LOVE the way it is turning out
Next: install package tray, speaker and RW defrost
