Nice that you have those original manuals and documents. Ask if any paperwork still exists--Window Sticker, Bill of Sale, Salesman's Order, etc.

And there are some on here who catalog the dealers of the time. Please post the dealer information from the selling dealer plate imprint, it's a bit hard to read on your photo. It looks like it came from a Dallas dealer that I don't recall hearing about.

Thanks for posting the dealer information. When I looked it up on The Wayback Machine it came up as Modern Olds, same address as you gave. And there was a nice story about the owner's family's general store a few blocks down the street.

I find it interesting to know a car's history--and you've got the documents!

really love that. I’m a blue collar worker myself and knowing it’s hx and roots has been really great.

im looking into the original owner (woman from Texas) just to kinda see where it’s been or if it was a weekend driver for her or what. In another post I mentioned it’s an all white coded convertible, 350 rocket with 2 carb dual exhaust, shipped from Lansing to Dallas and 45k mi later is in my hands.

I also mentioned in my other post that I know I’m the fourth owner. After the first purchase a mechanic bought it and brought it with him to California.

my Aunt went to church with him and he sold it to her for $7000. He painted the block blue and done basic revamp on the engine.

I bought it at “family discount” (double digits above the drinking age) but just based on the history mileage and the fact that I have loved this car since I was 13 I knew I had a gem.
