79 Cutlass with 455

Well,
I went ahead with this project, got the 455 rebuilt with mild cam, going in with th400. That's the tip of the iceberg, when I look at it. What to do for accelerator linkage and bracketry? Got essentially nothing, except a rebuilt quadrajet and the accelerator cable coming out of the firewall. Using an Edelbrock intake. Same for transmission shifter bracket - I have a column shifter and want to keep it. Any ideas on what parts to source to make this work?
Thank you!
Tom

I used factory throttle linkage on my car with no problems. Since you have a 400 trans, you don’t need to worry about the correct linkage for the kickdown cable. On my 69, there was plenty of cable length to compensate for the additional height of the performer intake.

I just noticed you have a 79, same thing applies. I have done several G body 455 swaps, i always used the 260/307 throttle bracket and cable.

Hi Matt,
Thanks; unfortunately, my bracket went out with the 260. I will have to locate one. Shouldn't be too hard -- thank you!

Look at a TCI 376700 for a throttle cable bracket. Looks like an Olds Qjet bracket

The standard 260/307 brackets worked for my big block swap in my 85 Cutlass....
