Wonder why there's so many US cars in that junkyard? ...from US military servicemen who left them behind?

Very interesting story. As I said before you are a true car enthusiast. You are an inspiration to the rest of us that may get lazy or nervous about tackling our own repairs! Good luck with all your projects. Very cool that your girl friend is also into vintage American cars.

I just came across this fantastic thread by accident. I loved reading it. I love the enthusiasm and hands-on approach of The Lion King (OP) and the super-friendly welcome by everyone else.

As a fellow European Oldsmobile owner this is a beautiful thing to watch and read.
