Question intake help

so, I ended up having to buy a new intake, as the one I installed from OPGI had a few problems. I upgraded my carb to a 650 Edelbrock and with that, I had to use a 1" spacer as well as the adapter just to clear the EGR, even though I have it blocked off.

Now that I have to get a new one, which I already ordered thinking HEY, this will work.....it is the Edelbrock performer 7111 from Jegs non-EGR.

Here is what is now concerning me, is that this new intake is meant for 1500-6500RPM, and my Gear-head friend that is in prison just told me that it is to much for my 350. though he didnt specify as to why or what I would have to do to make it work.

Why is it to much?
do I have to upgrade the camshaft if I want to use this like? (I am not even sure what camshaft is in it honestly)
I bought it thinking that this would be perfect, seeing as the offenhauser intakes I wanted will NOT clear HEI. but now I am concerned, a little advice please?

Get the 2711. That is a performer with no EGR provision on it.
