"New" '77 Cutlass - T-Top
Just bought a 1977 Cutlass with T-Tops this weekend off of Craigslist for a minor spring project / distraction.
Never had this era before, always 70-72, I really like it! It's a boat, and the front (and rear) seats feel pretty much just like my couch.
Does anyone have a source for replacement t-top seals? Yes, they leak.

There are several styles of weather strips for the 77 T tops. Have a look at Steele Rubber products. They have a large selection. Suggest you call them to verify the right one for your application. Prices range from 645 to 296.50

Thanks for the links. Hope it's not the $600 Hurst version of course - I think that's what I spent for a complete set of roof rails and stripping for my '70!
T-Top panels say they are by "American T Top Corp", so maybe not Hurst, but I'll figure it out.
Anyways, a fun car for sure

Citcapp / OldCutlass - thanks. I'm liking it a lot.
I took my three daughters for their first "test" drive yesterday, and my oldest (13) said "Dad it stinks like gas and exhaust.... I love it". What more validation do you need?
Anyone know how "rare" or "common" T-Tops were in '77? I poked around a bit here and on wild about cars, but didn't see any clear production info. And, I didn't realize that Olds was #3 behind Chevy and Ford in the mid-70's... what a shame GM couldn't keep the dream alive.

Wow, reminds me of my first nice car when I graduated high school in 1987. I loved that car! 1977 Cutlass Supreme, triple black, vinyl bench with fold down armrest (no t-tops). I later got rid of the white walls in favor of some "cool" raised white letter tires. (That's me wearing my McDonald's uniform).

Based on my recent research the Fusick and steele rubber seals are for Gen 2 Hurst hatches.
Gen 1 have the aluminum frame around the glass
Gen 2 have no aluminum frame and have 2 aluminum tabs that engage into the ttop body frame
This doesn't help you because you have American T Top brand, I have included two links that may be able to help you locate seals. good luck and love your car it looks great with or without new seals.

Man that baby reminds me of my 77 black Monte from days of yore. A reliable land-yacht she was. I spotted that trailer hitch and remembered mine totin' a ski-boat behind her and never having an issue. That was the comfy, couch era with enormous ashtrays.
Not knowing back then, I found it ran better with regular (leaded) gas and more timing advance but I did the unthinkable. Basically stuffed a running garden hose up the exhaust pipe while the catalytic converter was still glowing. It shatters the inner-structure so you can take it out on the highway and literately blow the material out. I still see fireballs shooting out and rolling around behind her. It worked fine but wow, stupid kid stuff - yikes!

Thanks for the info guys, haven't been on for a while, but I will check out the links in hopes of finding new seals. Appreciate the additional info on the t-top mfr history and the flashbacks from the good old days!
Amazingly, the car does get a lot of thumbs ups and is fun to drive - for a land yacht. My daughters refer to it now as the "couch car", with the padded velour bench seats front and back. We've been joking about how to get a coffee table and some drapes in there for the full living room effect as we cruise down the road...

Your car looks great! In 1986, I had a classmate with a silver '75 with the Hurst tops and I used to see another medium blue/white '75 with them in Pittsburgh in the early 90s. Not many around.
There is a black '77 with T-Tops on the Pittsburgh Craigslist now. Could be a great car at $1500 but needs some floor rust repair.
