1961 Super 88 - Remove Light Switch ****

Does anyone know how to remove the **** on the light switch? The manual doesn't show it very well or explain it and I don't want to force it and break it.

There is a release button on the back of the switch, push it and the **** and shaft come out as a unit.

Thank you very much.

I'm in the process of painting it and going through everything in it. It started with having to redo the dash pad and one thing led to another.
Do you think there would be any interest if I document it with pictures etc.?

Pull the **** out to the headlights on position. Press this button. Pull it the rest of the way out.

This site is all about information. If you feel your project is an interest to others by all means document it in the projects forum.

Thanks Joe. I figured it was something simple like that. I tend to try and have a go at it then break it and ask the questions later, lol. So glad to have found this site.

`By the way, I did do a search before I asked the question but it returned nothing.
