Power antenna? Repair procedures are in the 1974 Chassis Service Manual.

DK where you'd find the nylon drive cable but I'm told correct diameter weedeater string will work.

Is there any accepted way to straighten a bent metal mast? I’ve never heard of one over all the years.

Also, how could you reliably connect the weedeater nylon cable to the metal mast? Maybe melt them together with a heat gun? Press fit?

I use older model (1966 - era) power antennae, but would love to know more about servicing them. I’ve gotten in as far as the motor, but backed off before breaking anything.

Just curious

You never mentioned if you need to repair the drive cable or electrical cable to the back of your radio.

I was able to take the mast apart and clean all the gunk out so the piece slide in and out freely. The antenna will move some but i think the cable may be detached inside the spool. I am not sure how to take that apart to possibly reconnect it.
