'49 88 Floor Pans
Hi,
I hope you guys can help me. I've been searching for replacement floor and trunk pans for my '49 88 4 door. All of the web sites tell me that chevy floor pans will work but they look nothing like my Olds. One dealer at a local swap meet who sells the Chevy pans told me they will not fit.
Is there anyplace to obtain these parts without massive modifications to make the wrong ones fit.
Thanks for your help. Its fantastic to have this great resource.

I suggest you forget about using Chevy floor pans. Chances are you would have to modify them quite a bit. Find yourself a friend that has good fabrication skills and make your own. The only other way would be to find a salvage car and cut the floor pans out of it.

Welcome to our site. I am not aware of any place that has complete floor pans. I have seen someone who sells the lower panels that run below the doors between the front and rear bumpers on ebay. I plan to look into that this spring as my car needs them. So, you might look closer on ebay. I could recommend Kanter and Fusick but I think neither one sells body panels however they are good sources for the fat fendered cars like ours.

Thanks
Coldwar,
Thanks for the link to Tanson. I've already sent them an E-mail and hope to hear something from them in the next few days. I contacted Eddie Resac last fall and just last week. He says his supplier of the blanks is no longer making them so he would not be able make them, but thanks for the lead.

Don't know if you'll see this post or not but someone else that needs this info might come across it. a company called c2c at c2cfabrication.com sells complete floor pans and rockers for the 49-50 series 88 for 54.98 a piece. I found them looking for parts for my 1940 series 90
good luck
