'55 88 power windows.
You'll have to hang with me on this as there is a bit too it all.
I have been looking at the power window units for sale on ebay, just wondering if anyone has had anything to do with them, ever installed them? Any to stay away from or recommendations? Also anyone know what power window switches would suit a 55 olds besides 55 olds? any early or later olds, or ponti, caddy?
firstly I dont have any issue with non power windows, but the reason for thinking on the power windows is that my car will remain LHD, where cars here are RHD. where the issue is, is a few places like work, where I need to swipe to get into and out of the car park. being that my Olds will be a daily driver this is a concern. I have taken notice of the time I would have if I had to slide over and roll the window down then slide back. I have to swipe twice, once for the roller gate, and once for the boom.
Now normally this sort of thing wouldnt bother me, as it would be once every now and then, but as this is 2-6 times a day I think it might wear thin.
So has anyone had any experience retro fitting these aftermarket kits at all?
thanks.
