A little history, original purchaser was this guys father-in law he owned it for many years and gave it to a nephew who moved it to Tennessee and dragged raced it till it was pretty tired, then the original purchaser got it back and did restore it. That must have been some time ago engine now has a knock and paint is thin and showing signs of lots of body filler in places (cracking) Wrong wheels but he still has the original steel wheels and disc covers.

The current owner would like to know if the shifter ball is correct and possible if any can give me a good picture of the drivers side mirror mounted on the car?

Hey now, that's a good lookin 65 lol. I hope he'll let ya get it going for him Pat. I tried to get my good friend to at least throw some bearings at it, but he wouldn't touch it.

Yes, we both know the owner is! This site referenced Egge machine, they have rebuild kits, but this is HC engine and they are listing the same piston/ring part number for both HC/LC if memory serves.

It looks to me like they only offer that piston (L-2214) in a shallow dish version for the h.c engine.
The listing shows only "hi-performance, Toronado and 10.25:1 compression" applications.
