Breaking the Ice

Hello, I just thought I would be the "first" post. Man, it been over 35 years since I was the first I then I think she was lying! She said something about a bicycle seat. lol Any how, I have a few 88's. I have a pretty decent 1971 Delta convertible that I hope to get on the road this summer. Drivetrain and new brakes and lines done. It needs a little body work and paint and new top. It looks good at 20'/2o MPH. 2nd car is a 1966 Dynamic convertible, very soild car, needs new drivetrain and brakes, top, windshield, paint, yada, yada. I have everything to fix her, maybe one of these years. lol 3rd is a 37,000 1966 Delta 4-door, 425 2-barrel Hi-comp 320 HP engine and posi rear-end. Sold car but it is a 4-door and needs a lot of cosmetic's and stuff. I should just rebuild and exchange everything into the Dynamic conv. #4 is another 1966 4-door, bad frame, rechromed bumpers , it has the 425 4-barrel Starfire engine, runs OK but needs rebuilt, will be a parts car. #5 Is a 68 Delmont convertible, it could be saved but a lot of work, great top and it works, fairly solid car but I will probably part it because I need the room and no time. I hope more people will find this site and use it. Later Guys, Ken

Ok, I will be number 2....Im good at being a number 2 anyway!....Bought my first real car in 1974...a 66 Delta convert that I still have. Got hooked on the B bodies and 425 power. Two years later had to have a 67 442 conv. 4spd which I still have. It made me realize the B bodies had a smoother ride and comparative power. After that found a 66 Delta coupe with 4spd and Sfire 425 which I still have. Bought a 59 98 convert then another 66 Delta convert and finally a 66 Sfire. Guess I just have a Mania for Oldsmobiles and really need a bigger garage.

When I grow up(as my wife tellls me I never will) I want the same toys you guys have. Hello to all, I have a 1967 delta 88, 4 door, with a 425 in it that runs GREAT. My car has 80,002 miles on it as of right now. This is the first Oldsmobile that I have ever owned and it will be the last one I am allowed to put money into. I really enjoy reading the msgs on this site and it seems like you guys will be the ones to come to in my times need. I hope to communicate with all of you on a regular basis, hopefully not with problems but just to get ideas and share mine. Until later....keep rollin in the oldies

I like most all makes and models. Didn't keep many cars from back in the day. I usually bought them then found something better. I wish I kept a lot of them but doesn't everyone. I did keep the 3rd car I ever bought and turned out to be the best one I ever had (70 RT Charger) I drove lots of late 70's Cutlass's and wore them out have managed to keep the 70 Supreme and ran along to a 68 Cutlass S convertible some years back that I found in a garage sitting there since '76. I am planning on restoring it someday.
