"Delta 88 Custom Cruiser"

Quick question about my Custom Cruiser.

I've seen nothing in the manual or on the body designating my 85 Custom Cruiser as a "Delta 88". I do have a stock "Eighty Eight" emblem in the dash where the clock should be though.

So why do all insurances identity if as an "Oldsmobile Delta 88 Custom Cruiser"? Is the Custom Cruiser a Delta 88 and not just an "88"?

Hrmm maybe that's just what the Insurance companies internal system identifies your car as.

You have a 1985 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser no delta 88 in that name

Some pics would be nice

Hm. Guess I better change that on my signature then! Lol. Ah well.

I just realized that alot of people post pictures of the interior of their cars and I never even took a single one! Well... time to change that too.

The designations are simply model names. Don't get too worried about it. The insurance company may or may not be using the factory-issued names anyway, so really don't get too worried about it. The VIN is the only thing that matters, and the VIN shows that a Custom Cruiser is a B-body platform, just the same as the RWD versions of the D88.

I'm not all that worried, I just want to give the car it's due. I thought "Delta 88" was part of the name for an 88.

Progressive called it a Delta 88 Custom Cruiser. I just switched to State Farm and they call it a Delta 88 Station Wagon Custom Cruiser.

I was just curious.

When I had my 96 Impala, the insurance company had it listed as a Caprice/Impala
