Floor pan interchange/availability 68 Delta Custom

Hey All,

Im working on getting a 68 Delta Custom back on the road. My drivers floor pan is badly rusted and i need to change it but im not finding any direct fit aftermarket panels. is there anything that people have used that works, or anything close? Im assuming the cutlass pan is going to be to small, and the impala pan looks substantially different at the front. Any help would be great.

Thanx!

Do you need the entire floor pan? The reason I ask is I've got a 4 door floorpan that may have the same front third to half, but the back seat area is different. I could cut and ship the portion you need if this will help. I suspect there's not enough demand for the aftermarket to reproduce these. John

I really only need the drivers side. from where it seems in the door jamb to middle of the tunnel. and about 3ft long. IT seams at the front to the firewall right by the pedals, but im still awfully weak there. if i could get about 6" past the seam into the firewall, that would work. but if i gotta just do seam back i can fab the front part if needed.

my hump coming out of the floor pan into the drivers door jamb is all rotted out too. so i really gotta go to where the rocker seams onto the floor pan. all the way to the tunnel, and then back to the back of the drivers seat.

We sourced a driver's side floor pan for our 1966 Ninety-Eight LS sedan from the link given below. A mock fit so far shows trimming will be needed, the panel is claimed to fit 1965 - 1970 models. I am not sure if it would work with the 88 series, perhaps the more in the know folks could elaborate on this. There is a decent amount on this part to possible fix past the toe board seam as you mention, but would need more metal fabrication to reach the door post area. If yours is rusted as bad as said, the offer from 2blu442 may be the way to go, just thought I would give another possibility. Fixing up an Oldsmobile is fun, the large models make it even more so tracing and fabricating needed parts. http://www.c2cfabrication.com/collec...mobile+98+1966

This post is from 2019. I hope the OP found a floor pan.

I doubt there are any aftermarket floor pans for that either. In any case, Impala will be close enough to make it work. Those are available as repros.

I sold the OP a portion of my 1970 Delta 88 floorpan in 2019. I don't remember hearing back from him if he was able to make it work on his 1968. John
