New to forums need help with bushings 1962 dynamic 88

ok i am 17 this is my first car i stole it off ebay pretty much as a project car last august my dad and i have not started working on it untill now (takes a while to track down some special parts) when we got the car there was a brand new complete set of disk brakes in the trunk so we took off the rims and it was in bad shape it needed all new ball joints and bushings mainly on the upper and lower a arms.......... thats where the problem is i have 2 brands of bushings for the car for the uppers some nos atlas bushings and some moog only problem is when we put them in there is still crazy amounts of play in the upper a arms like the bushing does not fit the car??? does anyone know any measurements on the upper a arms openings... or any good websites for parts

now for the pictures......

WOW! That is a pretty straight car. I can't believe you bought it for $3,200. I wish I could find a deal like that.

I know you can get front end rebuild kits from Kanter and PST. I think Kanter would be a better place to shop though. I bought a front end kit a few years ago from PST and they weren't able to get me stabalizer bar bushings.

Send a PM to oldsfan. He went thru a lot of the same mess with a 62 Starfire using NOS GM bushings. Plus he's a dealer parts man so he has contacts to find this stuff.

Boy- 17 and taking on a 62 big Olds. My hat is off to you, young'un. Good luck, and nice car. Lot of mods- does it still have the 394/Slim Jim?

Nice looking car. It needs something along the belt line to break up the huge section of yellow and make the car look longer, either a stainless piece of trim or a stipe of silver inside of the indented "panel" running horizontally from front to back. Good luck with your front end work and welcome to our site.

4 door?

Is this a 4 door? Your car looks just like my father's except for the color and all that.
