Sorting through some wires by booster

Day 4 “Going through some wiring”
Since the PO added MSD.
maybe you guys can help me sort a few wires out quicker than i can.

I suspect these wires i found are for the coil and tach.
one wire is brown “tach”
one is black w orange stripe “heater?”
and i think the third is black “ground”?

Going to figure out what they are and tape them up for now and or wire tie them.
in case I change it back to a stock distributor later.
these all lead to the bulk head except the brown wire is separate to the right near speedo cable.
thx

Ensure you wrap (or wire nut) each wire end separate from one another before you bundle them up so as not to create a short anywhere.

The wire with the spade terminal is the original resistance wire to the coil + for a points ignition. The brown wire is either the tach or the wire that goes to the brake switch on the brake combo valve. The other wire may be the resistance wire bypass from the solenoid R terminal.

Nice feedback - obviously, I was incorrect.

The brown was the tach and it now works victory!
the other with the spade was the coil hot
jury still out on the black with orange
I also found the under hood light wire just hanging over that way too.
I cleaned up all hanging wires and are not arching anywhere.

Black with orange stripe should be the trans kickdown wire for TH400. It was included in every harness, no matter which trans was installed.

thx joe, it was the kick down. Thanks again!
The previous owner hooked up the nitrous to the kick down switch by the gas pedel, then he disconnected that wire and made a separate switch going to the trans to make the kick down work by another switch.
