1970 442 Red Fender Liner Question
Did all 1970 442's come with Red Fender Liners? I'm going to look at one and it has Black Liners. The current owner said that's the way he bought the car from the previous owner. Also, does the engine Paint Color look correct for 1970? Gold intake with Blue Valve Covers? Thanks

Red inner fenders were only factory installed on W30 cars, all others are black. Blue is the correct engine color; the intake manifold appears to be an aftermarket aluminum piece and what I can see of the carburetor appears to be a Holley.

Non-stock wiring covers mean there may have been rewiring--so be alert for electrical issues.
The valve cover breather tube has some creative elongation, indicating the intake manifold is taller than a factory piece.
Ford battery means a recent owner wasn't too careful about parts being used.
Radiator side seals are missing.
Post more pictures if you suspect more feedback would be helpful in any area.

I have to laugh when I see things like that battery cable or date-coded repro radiator hoses or wire hose clamps or all the firewall stamps and paper tags on a car that has an aftermarket intake, air cleaner, plug wires, alternator, or a ton of non-stock chrome.
