Another price range question
Trying to get a feel on what is a reasonable price range for 1969 442 Holiday coupe.
looks in good condition from the pics. they are asking in the low 20's.
How accurate are these sites
According to https://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/1969...p-Coupe/Values
That's not too bad.
I know a lot depends on condition etc.... just trying to get a ball park.
4 - speed with original 400
with the options shown below

Yep, here's what they say mine "may" be worth. Times are hard I'm thinking. I would take 30K for mine and haven't had a lot of nibbles, some. Two that had
enough interest to come down and drive it. One from the Dallas area and one from Colorado. GLWS if you decide to try and sell it.

Anything we can write here will be useless until you see the car. Low 20's sounds entirely reasonable for a '69 with 4-speed -- to the extent that it makes me think there may be things wrong with it that won't become apparent until you do a thorough inspection.

At $16-18-20K USD, It might need any or all of this--> drive train/chassis refresh, paint, or an interior. It should present well with near-zero rust and need near zero metalwork and 95-99% of the parts are reusable/restorable.
One is MUCH FARTHER ahead starting a serious restoration with this car as it won't need 80K invested to get it to a 45-50K car. Or it would make a great driver, restore as you go.
If it's all there, unmolested, the major numbers match and is rust free then low 20s is a decent deal.
Do your homework and know where the trouble rust spots are on a 68/69. Also, know how to look for collision damage/repair.
Any major rust, NOM (not orig motor) or trans or rear end, and the wiring is hacked.... obviously, the price descends depending on the level of molestation & rust.
Even a desert-dry car will likely need front fender doglegs. That's the near-zero rust I am referring to above.

That car looks nice, but at 22900 i suspect it will sit. If you check it out and all major systems are good id offer 15 and give him your number were not far away from storage season in NE and i suspect he would rather sell than store.
400 top end freshened to me reads needs a rebuild. Older paint too i like that in my cars, but also makes a good bargaining point for the buyer.
4 speed w correct console thats awesome, white interior not for me.
i see he says Any serious CASH Offers will be considered, thats a good sign he wants to sell!,
also is it a muncie or saginaw? Should be muncie but sometimes those saginaws find there way into a nice car.

Sure looks like a respectable car. But Id need to see the money shots to apply correct value. .5 out of 10 sellers actually knows how to do the money shots in a car ad.
I like the Blue White and stick combo.
Hell Id be tempted to let my nut n bolt 68 go for what its worth...buy this one or one like it. Put 20-30K in the bank and finally have a car I can drive and not worry so much about.
That car with a set of Cragar SS would be perfect.
$23000.00 not too bad IMO. Id bet he would have taken 18-19-20 w/o blinking. Thats cheap muscle in my world. Go try to find a GTO or Velle for that.
