power antenna

Did olds have a power antenna and if so were did it go ? what year did the window antenna come into play? Thanks

Yup. Starting around 1954 and all the way to the end.

Windshield antenna was first used in 1970.

But yeah, we need to know what car and year, since in the 60s most factory installed power antennas were on the right rear fender.

There was a 60's 4 speed Olds wagon on evilbay with a factory power antenna.
It was on the top of the left rear quarter next to the window.
It would be tough to get them in on later wagons with the fuel tank on the left and the spare tire on the right back there?

Here's a '62, the same year deal wagon I saw.
They are cool, when they work.

On my 69 Vista I Had to get the windshield antenna. Even though it's not hooked up. At the time it was the only glass they had [and I didn't care that it was "technically" 70 glass]

66-67 Olds wagon power antennas were mounted on the left rear quarter panel.
