'68 442 - 4spd Console Base / Carpeting

CONSOLE BASE: I'm thinking about purchasing the 4spd console base from Fusick. Has anybody else done the same? Did it work/fit well with the original top "plate"/"door"? Any installation tips?

CARPETING: I've ordered carpeting from Fusick also. Any installation hints for this?

Thanks. Merry Christmas!

I've found it helps to put bolts with heads cut off into seat belt & seat holes to locate them. Then carefully cut around base of bolt. Some guys even grind point on the headless bolts.

The 4 speed carpets don't work for the 68-69 cars. You're better off ordering the one for an automatic.
