Ok...I'll share my secret, but first, the master is an aftermarket swap I did over the summer ( and, yes, I kept the original to rebuild)😁 So getting the cap and bail shiny was easy..just some metal polish and elbow grease😁
As far as the master, it was mainly surface rust, so a wire brush took care of most of that. Then I sprayed it with WD40 and let it soak for a few minutes. Wiped it down, sprayed some WD40 on a cloth, and wiped it on, and that was that..easy peazy...now it's simply a matter of maintenance 😀

Wow, your humidity and heat down there are brutal on metal aren't they? I took a master off my car this past fall that was installed back 6 years ago, and it still looked like the one you cleaned up. Problem is it failed and was leaking from the piston end. Cheaper to replace than rebuild. Rockauto is good for that.
It looks just like the AC Delco one I put on.

That looks much better, I did the same w mine 2 years ago. Also got a slight case of the MAWs and bought the Eastwood MC paint. I was super happy w the paint went on nice and looks good. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.
