True newbie
I want to apologize in advance for any dumb questions that I will no doubt ask in the future. I have a 57 98 2 dr HT at the primer stage. I located a tri power with some Rochester 2g's. I will be needing some help with info on linkage etc., as I have never played with the set up before. Thanks in advance. Keox

Welcome to the site! You may get picked on for a dumb question, but the only way you'll find the answer is to ask the question
You might read through the forum for Olds 98's to see if there's any posts that answer your question. If not, create a post and hopefully another member has already been down the path your on. John

Welcome aboard,
Is your J2 setup a stock setup or a aftermarket 3 duce setup? It would make a difference on your linkage. Stock system uses vacuum to operate the front and aft carburetors (it's pulled off the fuel pump vacuum ) while aftermarket use a true progressive type linkage. You will have problems with the transmission kick down for the lack of it if it's aftermarket, you will have to rig something to get it to shift correctly.
If yours is a stock J2 make sure one of those Rochester's is a 2GC because that is the middle one that runs the choke. If you are looking for stock equipment probably Ebay is your best bet and there is a company that makes progressive custom stuff for Olds, Offey and others, but I'm having a brain fart and can't recall it, I'll see if I can find it and list it later....Tedd
