Wheel hub pattern on 98
#2
5x5 bolt circle is correct. Original wheels were 14" which presents tire availability issues. Even large 15" tires have gotten hard to find except in LT sizes.

Be aware that you also need to be certain that the center bore diameter of the wheel you buy is large enough to accommodate the hub on your 98. The speedo is driven off of the front driver's side wheel hub so the center cap or spinner of the wheels you locate need to be big enough to fit the hub.
You should be able to get 5x5" wheels at the salvage yard from a mid 90s Chevy 1/2 ton truck. Just double check the center bore diameter before buying a set.

I'll definately go with aftermarket. I'm not a fan of the original stuff on these, nor am I doing a classic restoration. Looking at either 17" or 18" staggard sets. 17"s are cheaper by about $30-$40/wheel and tires are less too since there is less rubber. Leaning toward the US mags Rambler u111.

And don't assume that price equates to material cost.

Those wheels would look pretty good on your Olds, Post pics once you get them installed.

Well, I bought them yesterday. Staggard set. Little bigger meats in the back then the fronts. Should make it look pretty sweet. It already has a pretty good low stance, probably because the springs are shot, lol
