RHD clutch pedal info

Hi Everyone,

just wondering if anyone has any information and pics of the clutch throw out mechanism for a 36 RHD?
the manuals and information I can find is all for LHD.

Thanks

Forgive my ignorance, but all American sold cars were LHD. Which do you have?

Apologies, I had the LHD and RHD in the wrong spots.

I have a RHD Australian built.

(I’m unable to change the thread title)

Gudday old china.

I am building a '35 Sloper. The RHD is basically the mirror image of the US manuals.

Stay tuned...I'll post some pickies.

Cheers Paddy...Somewhere near Macedon.

So .... the images are mostly from the pedal assembly RHS through the transfer assembly to the clutch throwout at the bellhousing.

Gudday again mate!

Under this Vintage Oldsmobile doodad, have a search for : 1935 6 cyl Sloper

'35/36 share a lot of common mechanical/chassis components.

Cheers Paddy

Same as the US Olds....it was just the pedal and transfer setup that differed....if that is your question?

Cheers Paddy

Nah, it was full of some type of felt or mesh that holds the grease and fits tightly over the ball on the bell housing, just wanting to know what it is so I can replace.

There is a split bushing that fits over that ball on the bell housing and on the chassis bracket as shown in below pic. They are reproduced as they chew out easily. It's possible someone may have tried to compensate for wear by packing felt or similar. Most Olds & Buick's from '34 up use them. CARS LLC sell them on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/17326344218...UAAOSwLvVazIxI
You can see the bushing in the exploded diagram further below (0.851)

Thank you.
So once the split bushing is in place both ends is the rest of the chamber filled with grease via the grease nipple?

Yes, thats it. I'll pull one apart off a RHD '35 over the weekend and post some pics.
