I am possibly looking at a 1955 Super 88 to pick up. It runs and shifts but am told it has no brakes. What is the current supply for parts for these older models? Are brake parts, suspension parts, engine parts readily available? I am not having much luck while searching for anything aftermarket...

When you say brakes, what parts are you talking about and are you talking power or manual ? The hard to get, and expensive part is the treadle vac power booster if that's the problem and if your car is a power brake car that often gives it up after 60 or so years You can find most ware items in the Fusick catalog if you are looking for one-stop shopping, but not necessarily the best priced. Have you checked the fluids yet?
If you can spend a little time and narrow down the trouble issues, we can probably get you going without much trouble, brakes on these things are pretty simple.... Tedd
