Quad inlet gasket

I just ordered a thicker fiber gasket and I also ordered thicker nylon gasket for my fuel inlet on Qjet carb.

Right now it has a really thin Dorman style nylon gasket and unless it’s super tight it wants to seep fuel, not really leak but more of a seep. I do remember using fiber gaskets in the past with good luck so I’m going back to thicker version so I don’t strip the nut. Car is 1966 442 which original date code carb.

my question is do you guys have better luck with thicker nylon or thicker fiber gasket?

like i said I got both on the way…just trying to decide which to try first?

Wow, I don’t know which mine has as the last time the inlet was removed was probably in the 1990s. Mine has an inline filter and no filter in the inlet housing.
