RIP Tina Turner

Just lost another original. Tina Turner passed at 83. Definitely an original. Passed in Switzerland at home. Peace to her.

I did not know this. Thanks for sharing. What a gal - lots of trials & tribulations for both Tina & Ike. She did so well for herself. RIP Tina.

I'd read she'd had health problems. Still tough to realize your heroes won't live forever. Saw a magazine today that showed Stevie Nicks is 75 and she self-abused way more than Tina Turner.

Few people ever owned or commanded a stage the way Tina Turner did. RIP Acid Queen.

Very sad. RIP Tina. Many of us grew up with your music and talents.

I play golf w/ a friend (Whitney Bullock) at my club. Whitney was raised in Nutbush, TN & Tina is his 1st cousin having grown up together in Nutbush.

With all respect to the dead, John Fogerty and the rest of Creedence did Proud Mary best.

Her concerts in later years were quite entertaining and captivating. She really came into her own in the 80s as well. It's sad that she is gone but her performances will live on forever. My favorite...Steamy Windows!

Totally Hot! With the absolute BEST Dancin' Legggs! I wish I could have seen her live in concert. My standout memory of her was as The Acid Queen in Tommy.

Well. YouTube thinks I'm not old enough to watch the Acid Queen do her thing. Hate to tell you, YouTube- I saw this in the theater in 1975, before anybody ever thought about a damn YouTube, Pete Townshend was so jacked up he didn't know where he was half the time, and most of us realized "Tommy" was typical Ken Russell wretched excess.

"If your child ain't all he should be now..."

Masterstroke of casting. The only other person in recent memory who could have pulled off that role is Eva Green who, while hot, doesn't have Tina Turner's vocal power.

"Pay me before I start..."

Man peace to her. She used all the runway for sure. Ike abusing her. Being an early black woman out front. Reviving her career and always respectful. Sounds like she had a rough run the last five years or so. Peace Tina. Be Proud Mary..🙏👍🍻
