George Hurst creations

I spent the better portion of my previous week at the Pate Swap Meeting at Texas Motor Speedway. Like most swap meets, you just never know what you might encounter. I walked up on these “Jaws of life” tools created/patented by George Hurst. Clearly not the “Hurst” product you might expect at a swap meet!!! But still pretty significantly cool!!

Maybe some of our youngsters never realized the significance of this revolutionary invention. Many LIVES saved..

I've seen a demo of them wielded by men who knew how to use them. They wrecked a car, and removed it off the dummy, and were able to get a stretcher right beside him.

Now, the hoods around here are using them to break into ATMs.... The world works in strange ways.

I picked up a 70-2 console, some fog light brackets for the ‘40 and a 15” SS III wheel which another Olds guy ended up needing more than I did.😂. I also purchased a 42” round sign mount ring for an Olds sign that came from Dave McCord’s estate. It will be going up in the shop.

Clearly I enjoy myself as I annually allocate three days of vacation time per year, much to the chagrin of my supervisor. 😁
