Reproducing 1965 Auto Shifter Inserts

I'm looking to start a new project and to be honest it is self serving.
I would like to reproduce the black inserts used on the auto shifter handle on the 1965 full size car floor shifter. The ones I have the grain pattern is worn smooth.
What I would like is a set that I can use as a pattern lent to me.
No harm will come to them.
I would think there must be some type of market for these.
I have some experience in this field as I had the end caps for the 4ft Toronado sign recast with excellent results.
Thanks in advance.
