Pulling Rear Seat from 55 Holiday
I received great responses to my first question, so here we go again. Does anyone know how to remove the rear seat from a 55 Olds 88 Holiday? I want to pull it out temporarily in order to put seat belts in for my kids. Any tips would be appreciated.

Olds seats
I checked my '55 Olds out today, I took out the bottom seat first, check the sides underneath for a clip the frame of the seat attaches too. Then its a matter of lifting up. On the back part of the seat, look under the bottom, there are 2 clips that need to bent up which the seat frame attaches to. Then lift upward on the seat back.
Let me know how it goes.

Your welcome
Pookster6,
Your welcome on the seats, congrats. Got a question for you if you do not mind. Have a delema in regards to the engine, on top of the coil there is a condenser. Does the wire from the condenser go to the negative or positive side of the coil? I had a brain fart after removing the coil last week.
Thanks,

Sorry, you probably know much more about this stuff than I do - I'm just learning and so far I barely know where the oil goes in! You'll be seing a lot of questions from me on here. Thanks again for the help with the seat - it all worked out fine. Just got back from taking a quick cruise.

John;
The condenser is a protection device for the points and in fact on some cars it is mounted on the breaker plate right along with the points. So it is on the negative side of the coil which is the wire that goes to the points. BTW that is the same place most tachometers are attached.
