Rear panels

I have brand new panel from Legendary to go in my 1970 Cutlass Supreme. But they look like the windows regulator does not stick through far enough for the crank handle to go on. I'm afraid if I would force them on far enough for the clip to catch i would never get them off.

The window crank handles should go on just fine. You may have to give them a "whack" and it will help if you have the proper window crank handles and not the cheapest repro version. Ames Pontiac sells a better version at a higher price than the typical lower cost handles (if you are replacing the handles).\

The crank handles, originally, did press down against the panels fairly well. To the point of somewhat pushing in the panels.

There may be a conical spring that is used b/n the panel and the inner metal structure as well.

Make sure you have and use the light grey plastic "discs" immediately under the window crank....prevents the handle itself from rubbing against the panel vinyl surface.

The Legendary panels use a slightly thicker panel board compared to the other repro brand panels as well as compared to the factory panels but that's not a reason to avoid the Legendary panels.
