71 Cutlass S Sienna Resto

Been making progress since I purchased this Cutlass one year all Sienna color a couple of months ago, it’s a Virginia car and took the plunge knowing it would need some body work. Nothing too major as looking forward to bringing it back as a presentable car with some originality. I’m not planning on a frame off but getting everything functional and a nice driver with a respray. Been stripping the car, removing rot, mouse houses and starting in on mechanicals

The previous owner had all the brakes done with lines, hoses, discs, drums, calipers, master cylinder. Plus a new windshield.

Engine runs well and has 79K on it. Also sourced some rally wheels for it as the plan is to sport the car up a bit. Been doing some YouTube with my son and will keep folks interested on this thread. Open for suggestions and feedback as excited to take on the project to learn some new skills with welding and bodywork. I’ve done some in the past.

Appreciate all your support as the forum has already been a valuable resource!

I also enjoyed the videos, you have a great helper. That's pretty much how I started, handing my older brother wrenches and sockets, and snapping an occasional bolt!

Thanks Steve, glad you liked the videos as we are having fun with a life long hobby of mine and my son is learning a lot. Just trying to pass my midwest upbringing on and hopefully he appreciates the skills when he gets older.

Last weekend work is up in the latest video, been making some inroads and finally getting some of the electrical issues straightened out. Also starting to rip into the fender repair -

Restoration work is time consuming to say the least

" A little bit at a time and you get there" That comment you made, is so true. I've enjoyed following along.

What brand welder? $200 is cheap! Thanks for the video, I've enjoyed the series.
