Radiator overflow nipple

Radiator overflow nipple
The radiator overflow hose nipple is missing on my 1972 Cutlass 455. After inspecting it, it doesn't look like anything was broken off, nor do I see any threads in there to screw in a fitting. Is this common? Do I have to flare/solder in a tube? Im tired of filling the radiator up. Any help would be great!

If you want to keep your overflow system, you will have to solder/repair it with a new tube.
If it's a plastic tank, I'd just plug it with a rubber washer and a machine screw&nut. Obviously, you can't solder onto plastic.
