Somewhere in the restoration ordeal, the convertible boot attachment rail has gone "missing". The new universal ones aren't exactly blowing my kilt up for me.
Does anyone have a spare OEM rail?
Have cash.....will trade.

 

Are you talking about the pinch weld chrome?

 

I believe he means the black thin metal tube type thing at the very top of the rear seat that the convertible top slides into. What year & model is your car? I might have a couple of them

 

Roger the boot rail being a thin metal type rail that attaches to ttheback of the rear seat. There is a round vinyl welt that slide into the open top of the rail to affic the front of the boot to the car.
The new replacements are a universal part that fir A Bodies 88s and 98s so at the least they have to be trimmed. Unfortunately, the dont fit the welt on the boot. I think the originals are just shy of 3 feet long and have 4 or 6 screws that atach it to the rear seat partition.
