Battery top vent cover 66-67 442 for trunk..
Hi All, what iam looking for is what they used on there battery top venting cover for the 66-67 w30 cars when the battery's were moved to the trunk, i just want to make sure i have it vented right because i do not need the battery to explode, or is there another option here that i could go.. thanks for looking john...

66-3x2 442 You wont believe me i was talking with curt when you sent this to me !!! i did get a hold of him, He is doing exactly what you said hes going to send me the kits he has available..for the 66-67 cars, i meet curt 40 years ago when i was 18 years old and got to see his beautiful 67 w-30 car. So when I was putting together my 67 I got the battery vent system from Curt but it was just for show. I bought the repro acid free battery... that looks identical to the correct Delco battery but it needs no venting, as its sealed.

Understand that these "sealed" batteries still use acid electrolyte; the correct technical term is VRLA (valve regulated lead acid). They are of two designs, AGM (absorbent glass mat) most commonly seen in automotive use today and gel cell. They can still release gas if overcharged; thus the current plethora of battery chargers with the special AGM cycle! These AGM batteries are more expensive but are generally lasting a lot longer than conventional batteries.
