If you don't find nice replacements there are guys out there that can restore these (except the retractor covers but those are repopped).

Have a set for rear seat in gold will get a picture, there were not perfect but in good shape.

Thanks for the reply! I know i can get them restored but this is a original paint 1969 W30 and trying to upgrade to match the rest of the car. The buckles are bad looking and I will try and paint them as a last resort.

You could just swap the painted buckles for the stainless ones. The bottom part is the same so you can leave the buckle attached to the belt and just swap the top and buttons. I think I have several extras in decent condition.

from my experience you will either have to luck out and find a nice set at one time or just keep looking a put together a set one piece at a time. Took me a long time to piece together a very nice brushed steel deluxe set. But you will be surprised at what you can find. and of course when I was done putting my set together a compete set of NOS showed up on ebay.

I agree with others though I would start out by painting the ones you have, You'd be surprised how nice they come out.

All I can say is that I had SSnake-Oil do mine (YEs they were easy, they were black so can't speak for gold


BUT they were spot on.. for my '69 like day one original from rusted pieces of crap...
