#3 heads on a 403
Have chance to pickup a nicely done but never installed set of #3 heads to replace the 4A's on a 403. Bronze guides, mild port, hardened seats, new 2" intakes, comp roller rockers and guide plates. Would still need to open up the head bolt holes for 1/2" head bolts.
Would the 60cc chambers be too much for street use?
Was going to do up a set of #6 heads but these came along.

I wouldn't take the Olds FAQ info as 100% accurate. Unless you have had those heads CC measured or someone has CC'd a set of #3 heads I wouldn't want to guess.
You should be able to calculate what compression ratio you would come up with by doing the math. im sure you can find that info somewhere online.

Sounds like they have had work. I would def assume that they may have been decked and that will lower the starting compression ratio. Shizzy is right and I would def CC Measure each combustion chamber and use a compression calc online to come up with an accurate ratio. Dont forget to take your head gasket thickness into consideration.
