66' Toronado Idler Arm

66' Toronado Idler Arm
Good day all, need your best guesses.
It appears that the 66' Toronado idler arm was never offered as a stand alone part. It was always offered as a package assembly, including the pitman arm and relay rod (PN 7802660). Well, my pitman arm is new but my idler arm is toast and it seems unusually difficult to source. I've done a bit of detective work and it certainly appears that the 67' & up Toronado one might work. I've done as much research as I can, what say you Classic Oldsmobile? Are all these, the same parts? Some show that they're applicable to all 1st gen Toronados, others state for the 67 & up only. They look the same to my eye. Even the PN's match up amongst the suppliers. For example, Fusick's 67' Toro offering PN matches Caddy Daddy's offering for the 67' El Dorado.
Caddy Daddy, 67' El Dorado.
Ebay find, says applicable to all 1st gen Toronados.

From the 1967 assembly manual, looks very similar. Grease fitting in a different spot is all:
I guess the only question would be the taper on the connection to the relay rod. I actually haven't been able to find a picture of an actual 66' idler arm (can't even find the PN actually). It would definitely be helpful if I could find a picture of an actual one.

Thought I would update this post. I have removed my 66' idler arm from the Toronado and I snapped a bunch of pictures of it. Maybe this will help someone someday.
To my eye anyway, it appears to be very similar to the 67' offerings. I have a NOS idler arm on the way, courtesy of Craig from MobileParts and will compare them to see if there's any differences. I wire brushed all the numbers I could find on the original: On one side I see 5699836 D4. The other side says US652. The bushing says harrisclevebloc 802909 FG.
I did notice that there are rebuild kits available for the 1st gen Toronado idler arms so maybe I can rebuild the one I have if it's worst case scenario.
Hope this help! Hoping my replacement fits as well.

Pretty sure I'm only talking to myself but I hope this helps someone someday. My replacement idler arm arrived yesterday. Fit my 66' perfectly. If you can find this PN, it will work just fine. I highly recommend Craig at Mobile Parts!
