Washers with Lower Control Arm bolts?

I guess I'm starting to second guess the accuracy of how I bagged and tagged a lot of the hardware when I pulled the car apart. Do the front lower control arm bolts take flat washers under the bolt head or nut? I don't seem to have any washers that would indicate that use, and my reproduction assembly manual doesn't seem to show them.

When I rebuilt my 1971 CS convertible entire front (and rear) suspension several years ago, I removed the uppers & lowers and there were no washers either under the bolt head or under the nut - only bolt & nut. I thought (possibly like yourself) there surely must be some washers - thinking maybe a previous owner/service shop or whatever forgot to install washers. I reviewed my 1971 PIM (FAM) and nope, no washers indicated.

Same here, no washers on either my ‘70 Supreme or ‘71 convertible.

No washers. If you look closely, you will see the imprints of the bolt head flange and the nut on the frame brackets.

No washers however, I did a restomod for mine and installed washers and metal locking nuts on all the suspension hardware. Idk, just doesn't seem to make sense to not have a washer when clamping metal together but some smart engineer determined it wasn't necessary.

It may have been an accountant. Remove a handful of 2 cent washers from a couple hundred thousand cars and it adds up to a substantial cost reduction.
