Amongst the many cruises this year, went to a local roll in with my friend and his Chevelle.
caught in the wild..lol
3000 miles and a few gallons of gas through this thing in the last year….
still waiting on stripes…

Well it’s been a while, this fall I finally got the posi in it, helps a bit with traction but still need more..lol
also got my E heads back in Oct, they had previously been ported and polished, I had them checked and rebuilt with new hardened seats, stainless valves and new springs and seals. Might try to get these on this spring yet.

While redoing the dash, I replaced the wood grain pieces
and added in a radio again, this is the after market replica with blue tooth.
after hooking up to old speakers, I blew one of the rears so had to replace them also..lol

While I had the seats out thought I would check the floor pans. They were rust free but missing deadner so I added some to help with vibration and drone.

It’s been great, loving it. I have put about 5000 miles on it so far…
get my heads on reseal it and I think I might be able to just drive it for awhile…haha
It really it has been fun, a little work at a time.

Well last month got a dreaded knock during a cruise…yes I was pushing it..
pulled motor and still investigating, chain is stupid loose and no obvious rods. No piston to head impacts.
built up a short block with my new heads and transferred intake and carb.
installed the fresh motor this weekend and it survived cam break in so things are looking good.

For any other Muscle Car freaks in the world no matter your allegiance. You can't get sexier than this right here. Beautiful body lines. Oldsmobile owned 1970 GM. I love the other three too but in 1970 Oldsmobile hands down. Buick 2nd. I love the 1970 damn near every make but. Look at this car. Boy do I miss mine.

Great picture by the way.
I love no stripes on the hood and the new wheels. Body color wheels on a 70 other than a Rallye 350 or pace car car drive me crazy. Your car is awesome. I love it. Enjoy every mile. 👍

After a fantastic summer of cruising. I had just over 2000 miles from Jul to end of Oct.
out for a last cruise before snow season…stuck and #6 exhaust valve…ugh.
of course it was the passenger side so with factory ac…out came the motor again.
I had the heads looked over and the guides were starting to neck in from heat and that appears to have been the cause.
My head guy replace the necessary parts and then cut back the tip of the guides to help prevent this again.
I’ll try and up load a photo

Loved the Offenhauser valve covers but Wanted to go back to stock valve covers so that they could be removed in the car, not being able to get the passenger cover off with the ac box was a disappointment to say the least.
well these were off my other motor and filthy, had to remove baffles to fit with roller rockers. I left the center area to prevent oil loss.

Seems like I was just here…
That BPO gm25 HD sure looks tiny
With cold oil it almost maxes out the scale. It drops down to about 3/4 hot when driving.
These lifts have more than paid for themselves over and over..
it’s back together and I think I finally have all the seeps and leaks fixed.. What a difference from last time when nothing leaked.
i did fix my speedometer sender seal while the trans was low on fluid from the torque converter change. I think that will help reduce the mess under it.
broke in the new lifter with the cam and oil pressure was fantastic along with nice cool engine temp. It helped that it was only 40 f outside .

Swapped the tic-toc-tach for a speed hit 4” today. The tic-toc is just really hard to read in the 70dash with the steering wheel. The straight tach is easier to see without the clock dial. Plus I get the shift lights with it and a max rpm memory. I made the tach holder from a used turkey tray. No mods necessary to the actual dash, just a couple wire connector changes.

Acquired some American Racing VN501 wheels today. 15X8 4.5" BS
I trimmed some SS1 center decals a smidge to fit the AR caps
Running 245/60-15 front and 295/50-15 rear.
trimmed some ss1 decals to fit the American Racing caps
Will see If I can get any better traction while still using road tires
Now I must wait for the salt to get washed off the roads again after our last snowstorm...ugh.
