Pics of 65 442 Engine Bay
Anyone have any pics of a stock engine bay for 65 442? I know my radiator hose and fuel lines are incorrect, but want to compare what else I might need to replace to get it back to the stock look.
Here's pic of the my engine as it currently sits, if anyone an see anything else from the pics, I'd appreciate the feedback
Thanks.

Where to start. Obviously like you said radiator hoses also heater hose in black not red. Wrong aftermarket valve covers and winged bolts that need extensions on breather to air cleaner. New hood bumpers too

Depends how far you want to go on correct what I see so far
fan blade, heater hoses, radiator hoses, valve cover, power steering pulley. Ignition coil, cap and probably rotor and wires, battery hood down,

If I'm reading the Oldsmobile parts catalog correctly, the 1965 F-85 with the 442 option, without air conditioning or the special cooling option got the 18 inch 4 blade fan (group 1.064, part 587253) without a clutch. If the vehicle had air conditioning or the special cooling option, it got the 19 inch 6 blade fan (group 1.064, part 580026) with a clutch (group 1.050, part 387700).
Some of these vehicles had difficulty staying cool in the hotter summers. I have one. I had to take some extraordinary (non-stock) measures to achieve satisfactory cooling. If yours is similar, write back.

Master cylinder, battery cables, PS pulley, valve covers, radiator cap, hoses, heater hoses. Shiny black paint on everything. Id leave it as is and enjoy it. Youll spend a lot of money to make it correct, then youll not want to get it dirty,

Those can leave you stranded .

Drivers side valve cover is incorrect. Flat area should be slightly indented and have no PCV in it. That was accomplished by the passenger cover to the air cleaner. Drivers side should be completely blank. Air cleaner has been show chromed and would be considered over restored. Should be flash chrome plated giving it a satin chrome finish.

Hi,
That is correct about the breather unless it's a CA car then I believe would have 66 style breather on the driver's sid, maybe someone with more 65 knowledge will chime in.
Regards,
Jim
